Pundi X and American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM) Korea Partner to Promote Blockchain
According to Pundi X’s latest press release, the American Chamber of Commerce Korea (AMCHAM) and Pundi X have partnered together to introduce and promote the blockchain-based point-of-sales solutions by Pundi X to its members—which includes a lot of leading multinational companies in Korea.
A global expert on foreign investment and a leading international lawyer, Jeffery Jones, announced the partnership when the new Pundi X POS was displayed in Seoul last week. Jones is the Chair of the Board of Directors at American Chamber of Commerce in Korea and also the senior advisor for Pundi X. He has been recognized by the South Korean government for all of his contributions to the betterment of business in Korea.
According to the terms of the Memorandum of Understanding which was signed by the two parties last week, AMCHAM would support, introduce, and promote the blockchain solution developed by Pundi X to its 1,800 members including McDonald’s and Aston Martin. AMCHAM would help in the deployment and adoption of Pundi X’s blockchain-based solution in Korea.
Korea isn’t the only country Pundi X plans to begin shipping pre-orders for its new XPOS device to. In fact, it is just one of the four countries which would see the XPOS device shipped to them next month. XPOS supports both credit card and debit card payments. It also supports multiple cryptocurrency transactions.
According to Danny Lim, the co-founder, and Chief Financial Officer of Pundi X:
“Korea is a key market for the deployment of cryptocurrencies and, it of course follows, for Pundi X. We are very pleased by the level of interest shown by Korean merchants and consumers. But we are confident that with the backing of an organisation with as many links to global business as AMCHAM and strategic counsel from our key advisor Jeffrey Jones that this development will be an important milestone, not just for our presence in Korea but globally, too.”
