EOS looking for Technical Mentors for the Global Hackathon in Sydney

EOS has made a call for EOSIO developers via its Twitter handle. EOS is in search of volunteers to work as Technical mentors at the EOS Global Hackathon Event in Sydney.

The event will be held for two days in Sydney. EOS has claimed to cover all the travel and accommodation expenses.

About the EOS Global Hackathon

The EOS Global Hackathon series is a first-of-its-kind event in the world of blockchain that serves the goal of Block.one of supporting a decentralized global community from the ground up. From June through the end of 2018, Block.one will be hosting a series of initiatives to find and give a platform to the most visionary architects of decentralization in the world.

There will be four in-person events. One event has already been scheduled in Hong Kong which was a two-day event from June 9 to June 10. The other events will take place in Sydney and London and the last venue is not yet decided. Events will be followed by Grand Finale Pitch Competition that puts the best applications in the spotlight.

Announcement for Volunteers

The official call for volunteers was announced today via the Twitter handle of EOS.

Following the huge success of the Global Hackathon event in Hong Kong, EOS platform is all prepared for the next event in Sydney and is set to ensure that it is a huge success too.

In the Hong Kong event, around 90 teams turned up and showcased their work. Top three performs won cash prizes and the chance to compete in the grand finale for US $5,00,000.

People who would love contributing to the EOSIO community could apply to be a volunteer Technical Mentor at the event scheduled in Sydney for August 4 and August 5. The Hotel cost and airfares will also be covered to and from Sydney from their location.

In order to apply for the position of Mentor, Application Form has to be filled. The mentor will be a vital part of the Hackathon team and will share his/her knowledge of the platform. Being a mentor can be hugely rewarding as a mentor will also help those who are building amazing and innovative projects on EOSIO.
