CoinMarketCap gets a new Logo and an iOS App!
CoinMarketCap, perhaps the go-to website for most of the crypto enthusiasts who want to know about the latest prices at which their favorite cryptos are trading, celebrates its fifth anniversary with the release of its iOS app and a new logo.
The website announced the new logo on its official Medium blog saying:
We are excited to share our new branding with you. The most prominent part of our new brand identity is our logo, which represents the CMC of CoinMarketCap and the ups and downs of the markets.
Here’s the new logo:
In the same blog, the website also announced its iOS app:
The official CoinMarketCap mobile application is now available on the iOS App Store! Download it here to manage your Watchlist and stay up to date with our market capitalization and pricing information on the go.
The new app stirs quite a lot of conversations in the crypto community as the iOS users breathe a sigh of relief since they have been waiting for the app to be developed and released for quite a long time.
With the new app, users can create and manage “Watchlists”, which are basically lists of the cryptocurrencies which are chosen by users. These are the cryptocurrencies which the user has either invested in or is interested in.
Android users, however, would still have to wait for a while to get their version of the app since the app is only available to the iOS users as of now. You can find the app in the iTunes store from where you can download it for free—with advertisements, of course. The website API has also been upgraded.
The website boasts of tracking 1600 cryptocurrencies and 200 exchanges with a total market cap of over 400 billion USD. CoinMarketCap also boasted about growing to 424,000 followers on Twitter, and about being the 174th most visited website in the world with 60 million unique visits this year to date according to Alexa.
